Pearl BLX - All Birch Shell (custom), 199x

Hyper-sampled Pearl-drumkit with Paiste Formula hihat, Zildrian cymbals etc.

XOBS is my uncle who owned the drum kit.
In 2008 we hyper-sampled the drum elements, and made a virtual drum kit from it.

The refill and zipped samples has been updated.
Recently velocity-responses has improved, and file sizes losslessly reduced.
Latest version is v1.5 as refill or .zip archive (find it below).

The "XOBS2008 Web Drum Machine" was made to demonstrate some of the included samples from the XOBS2008 refill.

RECORDING
All the drum parts is recorded individually (48 KHz samples).
Close and far microphone setup with toggle/mixing possibility.
Besides this all the parts is recorded into four files by velocity (soft,mid,hard,harder).

Using the XOBS2008 Pearl BLX drum-kit with Propellerhead Reason
Reason-users can play all the samples from a midi-based keyboard, or put them into a Redrum sequencer.
Predefined Combinator and NN-XT patches is included for manual drum kits. (See assignments below.)
